Children's Activities:

Children's Festival:
As part of this work, each year we have a children‘s Festival, which includes a march around the parish (see picture) and a special prize giving service, followed by a small party. St. John's is committed to spreading the Gospel and teaching the Faith to all age groups and has eight committed youth leaders.



Youth Club:
On a weekly basis we have a 50 strong youth club which meets each Wednesday from 6.30 pm until 8.00 pm. Activities vary from week to week (ball games, board games, computer games, disco‘s talent shows, trips to pantomines, treasure hunts etc)





T-Gen:
Also on a weekly basis, we have a youth club that follows the 6:30-8:00pm youth club which runs for children of a higher age group (13+). The T-Gen (Teen Generation) starts at 8:00pm and ends at 9:30pm every Wednesday. The activites include: Pool, Snooker, Music, Video Games, Days Out and much more. New members to both youth clubs are very welcome!



SJYC Disco:
Some of the lads from the church have set up their own disco to raise funds for the church. They do event like Valentines Day, New Years Eve etc. If you would like to hire the disco please contact Gary Wilson (via the parish priest)



Sunshine Club:
St. John's Sunshine Club meets between 9.25am and 10.25am on Sunday mornings in S. John‘s Church Hall and is a new club which seeks to enable Children to meet together to learn more about Christ and His Church whilst having a good time!



Kingdom Day:
A special Day which aims to look at the Kingship of Christ through many different activities.


Other Activities:

Afternoon Club:
Meets each Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and attracts around 90 senior citizens.
